We have enjoyed sharing with our home church and getting to know many of the members on a more personal basis. Thank you for your love and prayers. |

Dear Faithful Friends
It has been a while since we have been able to communicate with you. We are encouraged with what the Lord is doing in and through us here in Sucre and we thank you for your part in this ministry. Thank you for your prayers on our behalf and for your financial gifts. May God always be glorified!
We have made the transition from the city of Cochabamba to Sucre and we are enjoying this new city. What a beautiful place filled with wonderful people. Both Patrick and Andres began school in September. Both have made new friends at school and in the neighbourhood where we live. Lily has the opportunity to teach Social Studies and Science to the children there. She is teaching them about Canada! The children are from Bolivia, England, the USA, Australia and Canada.
You were praying about a home here in Sucre and God wonderfully answered those prayers with the kind of home we wanted. Thank you Lord! God knows our needs and gives us all accordingly.
We have been extremely busy since the day we arrived in Sucre. My father, Alex Muir, brought a team of folks from Canada to distribute little solar powered radios in the month of August. Before the team's arrival, we had to prepare for this team and visit the areas of distribution. Thank the Lord, the team was able to distribute 500 radios to both Christian and Non-Christian Quechua folks in three remote areas of Bolivia. Now, our job is to follow-up the distribution in these three areas with further teaching of God's Word and answering questions. Our prayer is that as the folks listen to their radios, the Spirit will spark an interest to learn more about God's free gift of salvation. Pray that God will be working in the hearts of those who will hear the Gospel through the radios.
The Lord has also provided a church for us to attend and to minister in here in Sucre. We are working on helping the church leadership develop a ministry to the Quechua speaking members and develop an outreach ministry for the many Quechua people that live around the church. Please be praying for the "Christ is Alive Baptist Church" in Sucre Bolivia.
Bolivia continues to experience political problems even after the change of government. Please continue to pray for Bolivia's President and that the people of the land will seek salvation and security in the Lord and not in governments or revolutions.
It is always a pleasure to be able to write you and inform you on what God is doing here in Bolivia. One sheet of paper is never enough to tell you all the stories and testimonies of how great our God is. May He bless each household and each individual.
In His service,

Dear Friends at St. Paul's,
Greetings from the banks of the Amazon - at Puraquequara (PQQ)!! Once again it is so great to have these weeks here with our 3 wonderful kids, while we get the next two books ready to print!
Thank you for your prayers for us over the past months with all the details we mentioned that needed to fall into place for this to happen!
Praise the Lord that Christa made it into Novo Demini and we were able to correct the rest of the scriptures needed to get these 2 books finished and here to Mark for printing. These weeks we have done many hours of proofreading and formatting and yesterday we gave it to Mark! Thank you for your part through giving and praying, so that we can keep giving more of God's Word to the growing Yanomami Church!
Sarah, David and Natalie, along with all there friends here, are good and ready for a break - this is their final week of school for this semester. Their last day of regular classes is Monday and then they have 2 days of sports competitions and then assemble and awards ceremony on Thursday. We will drive up to Boa Vista on Friday and fly into the village on Tuesday the 19th.
Please continue to pray with us for Natalie's health. She is fine most of the time with the medicine she is taking, but still gets bouts of nausea several times each week. We will be consulting our Dr. this weekend again.
We have heard several times from our co-workers by e-mail and they seem to be doing OK in our absence, though Joao did come down with malaria, a 1st for him! When we fly in to the tribe the newer couple, Wellington and Aguida, will fly out for a break. So we will have the Christmas vacation time there with Joao and Hope and Nathan again. The kids are hoping for drier weather this Christmas so that the river will be low, as it should be this time of year, so that the sandbars will be out - this way it is better for swimming, fishing and camping!
May you have a wonderful Christmas with family and friends in your part of the world! Thank you for being a vital part of what God is doing here, through your gifts and faithful prayers! Keep praying for us that our lives would truly reflect Jesus Christ to our Yanomami friends at Novo Demini!
With Love,
Joel and Gwen
